Sad News – Jean Cooperberg z’l
The memorial service in memory of Jean Cooperberg z”l, mother of Temple Sholom member Ruthie Shugarman, was held on Monday June 20th at 11:00 am at Schara Tzedeck Synagogue’s main sanctuary (3476 Oak Street, Vancouver).

The funeral was held on Monday June 20th at 1:00 pm at Mountainview Cemetery (5455 Fraser Street, Vancouver).

Tuesday – Thursday at 7:00 pm at the home of Peter Cooperberg (1569 Mariner’s Walk, Vancouver).
We send our heartfelt condolences to Jean’s husband, Peter Cooperberg, her children, Ruthie Shugarman (Danny) and Michael Cooperberg (Kim Lorine), and to her grandchildren, Talia Shugarman, Cooper Shugarman and Lev Cooperberg.

Jean was influential and supportive to me as a fellow
docent at the Vancouver Art Gallery. When I was diagnosed
with breast cancer three years ago, she continued her
unwavering support and kindness. I shall greatly miss
Jean and her undeniably ‘ Jean’ smile.
