Sad News – Shirley Furman Hirsh z’l
It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the death of Temple Sholom member Shirley Furman Hirsh z”l, on August 3, 2023.
We send our heartfelt condolences to her husband, Harvey Hirsh; her brother, Bernard Furman; her children, David Hirsh and Temple Sholom member Alana Hirsh (Eric Werker); and her grandchildren, Jonathan and Dalia Werker.
The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 8, at 1:00 pm at Mountain View Cemetery Celebration Hall, 5455 Fraser St, Vancouver B.C.
The family will be sitting shiva and welcome visits of condolence at the following times and locations:
Tuesday, Aug 8 – 4:00-9:00 pm (minyan at 7pm) at the home of Alana Hirsh and Eric Werker in Vancouver
Wednesday, Aug 9 – 3:30-6:30 pm (minyan at 6pm) at the home of Harvey Hirsh in Vancouver
Thursday, Aug 10 – 3:30-6:30 pm (minyan at 6pm) at the home of Harvey Hirsh in Vancouver
Friday, Aug 11 – 2:00-5:00 pm at the home of Harvey Hirsh in Vancouver
Sunday, Aug 13 – 2:00-5:00 pm at the home of Harvey Hirsh in Vancouver
Monday, Aug 14 – 2:00-5:00 pm at the home of Harvey Hirsh in Vancouver
Donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to the MUHC Foundation, care of The Celebration of Life Fund (#69899), the BC Cancer Agency, or The Shirley Hirsh Fund (#1866678) at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.
