Sad News – Reuben Sinclair z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Reuben Sinclair z”l, the oldest Canadian man (at age 112) and oldest living veteran of World War II.
Mr. Sinclair was born in Lipton, Saskatchewan and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 at the age of 31. He was the recipient of numerous service medals. After the war, he settled in Metro Vancouver, where he had three children, six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. We send our condolences to all his family members.
We send our heartfelt condolences to Mathew and family, to Reuben’s children, Nadine Lipetz (Arthur), Karen Sinclair, and Len Sinclair (Holly) and to his 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Tuesday August 29, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Schara Tzedeck Cemetery in New Westminster (2345 Marine Drive, New Westminster, BC).
Shiva visitation and evening services will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 6:30 pm in Vancouver, BC.
