Sad News – Philip Pinkus z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Philip Pinkus, Pinchas ben Velvel v’Rivka, father of Or Shalom member Susan Pinkus, on Sunday, August 5, 2018.

Philip will be mourned by his daughter Susan (Sarah), his dedicated caregiver family Fidelia Ncham and Dorcas Donkor, his wife Carol McCandless, his sister Annette Bot (William) and brother Jack Pinkus (Miriam), and by his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The funeral and burial will take place on Thursday, August 9th at 11am at the Temple Sholom Cemetery, 14965 – 28th Ave., Surrey, BC

There will be a reception at Susan and Sarah’s home in Vancouver, starting at 5:30 pm on Thursday, followed by a Maariv shiva minyan at 8:45 pm. A morning shiva minyan will be held Friday at 8 am, also at Susan and Sarah’s home.
