Sad News – Phil Gotfrit z’l

With sorrow, I am writing to inform you that on August 18th our dear Or Shalom member Martin Gotfrit lost his father Phil – Fischel Ben Moshe v Sarah. Phil Gotfrit died peacefully at home in Montreal, in the company of his children Martin and Leslie. Yehe zichro baruch.

Phil is pre-deceased by his wife Josephine Gotfrit, and by his second wife Myrna Gotfrit (nee Goodman). He will be mourned by his children Martin Gotfrit (Patricia Grubin) and Leslie Gotfrit (Paul Bauman), by his grandchildren Noah and Jesse Gotfrit, and Isaac and Josie Bauman, as well as by loving step-children and grandchildren.

The funeral and shiva will be held in Montreal next week.

Hamakom yenachem etchem b’toch sha-ar avlei Tzion v’Yerushalayim. May our mourners be comforted together with all who grieve.
