Nicky (Anita Edith) Raphael passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022 at the Louis Brier Home and Hospital in Vancouver. She was 96 years old.

Nicky (Anita Edith) Raphael passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022 at the Louis Brier Home and Hospital in Vancouver. She was 96 years old.

Nicky will be eternally missed by her children Barbara (Edward), Howard, (Jill) and Andrew (Louisa); her grandchildren Hannah (Chance), Brooke, and Bradley (Shenell); and her great-grandchildren Wesley and Gray. She was predeceased by Leslie, her loving soulmate and husband of 70 years.

As an active member of the Jewish community, Nicky’s home was the scene for the many fund-raising events she and Leslie supported.

Above all Nicky loved people. Her home was always open to family and friends as well as to her children’s friends, and she was dearly loved and respected by everyone who had the privilege of experiencing her boundless generosity, her genuine warmth and her loving kindness. She will be deeply missed.

A funeral committal service for Nicky was held at the Schara Tzedeck Cemetery (2345 Marine Drive, New Westminster) onFebruary 15, 2022 at 2 P.M. There will be a celebration of Nicky’s life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nicky can be made to the Louis Brier Home and hospital.
