Sad News – Mahalia Freed z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the tragic passing of Mahalia Freed z’l, a mother of two of the young children attending Or Shalom’s Shabbat Sheli program, yesterday, February 23, 2020, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Mahalia is mourned here in Vancouver by her wife, Erin Bentley, and her children, Ellemere Artemis (age 4) and Isaiah Finn (age 2).

Mahalia’s life will be celebrated in community at 11:00 am this Wednesday, February 26th, at St. James Community Square (3214 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver). A pot luck meal will follow.
