Sad News – Ivan Kaplan z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ivan Kaplan z”l, father of Or Shalom member Charles Kaplan, at the age of 95 in Florida.

Ivan was predeceased by his brother, Robert and his sons, Richard and Lee, z”l.

Ivan will be mourned by his wife, Sharon, sons, Charles (Rabbi Laura Duhan Kaplan), David (Gail Wegodsky) and Jason, grandchildren, Hillary, Eli, Michael, Greg and Christine, and his great granddaughter, Emma.

Charles, Reb Laura, Hillary and Eli are now in Florida for the funeral service which will take place on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Information about a memorial gathering in Vancouver will be shared at a later time.
