Sad News – Herbert Lewis z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Herbert Lewis, father of Temple Sholom member Donna Riback (Howard), peacefully at home with his loving family, on Sunday May 24, 2020 in Montreal, QC.

Herbert was the beloved husband of Pauline (née Wolman) for sixty-six years, who was the love of his life. Father and father-in-law of Donna and Howard Riback, Valerie and Nick Zamora. Adored Grandpa of Cameron, Brian, Arielle and Elise. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia and Jack Arron, Phyllis and George Leebosh. Herb will also be profoundly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a vast circle of friends.

He was a man of integrity who was deeply loyal. Herb was also loving, kind and so very funny. He had a zest for life and could create laughter in almost any situation. He delighted in children and chocolate.

Special thanks to Larry Geller for his friendship and to Tania, Ann, Claire, Chris and Daljeet for their devoted care.

A private graveside service will be held.
