Sad News – George Oberlander z’l

With sorrow, I am writing to inform you of the death of George Oberlander, uncle of Or Shelom members Judy (Mark Wexler), Tim (Julie Marts), and Wendy Oberlander, younger brother to Peter Oberlander, z”l. George F. Overlander, Zvi ben Avraham v’Miriam, was born in Vienna on July 8, 1930, and died in Kensington, Maryland on December 25, 2023.

George was the devoted husband of Suzanne Oberlander for 45 years. He was father to Sylvie Haller and Michael Oberlander, grandfather to Nicholas Haller and Aiden Oberlander. George is also survived by many relatives around the globe – England, Israel, Australia, Austria and Canada.

The funeral will be on Sunday, December 31 in Maryland.

I know that you will reach out to Judy, Tim, Wendy and their families in spiritual friendship, and for their preciousness to our community.
