It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Douglas Howard Finestone, z”l, beloved brother of Rabbi Sally Finestone, our Seniors’ Support Rabbi. He died on Friday evening, September 5th, surrounded by his beloved family.

 

A native of Virginia, Dr. Finestone was a gifted psychiatrist, and a Freudian trained analyst. He was devoted to his patients and to their care.

 

We send our heartfelt condolences to his three daughters, Anna, Sara, and Lea, to their husbands, Reed, Nathan, and Brad, to his grandchildren, Jude, Ethan, and Avery, to his sisters, Sally and Lisa, to his many cousins, and the entire family.

 

In his memory, donations can be made to Beit Halochem, or to any local dog shelter.
