Sad News – Gabor Elias z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Gabor Elias, father of Temple Sholom members Dani, Lianne and Mikey Elias.

Gabor was predeceased by his wife, Dena Elias z”l (2000) and his long-term partner, Irina Goga z”l (2016).

We send our heartfelt condolences to his children, Dani Elias (Helena Elias), Lianne Elias (Staffan Rydin) and Mikey Elias (Arielle Dalley). Gabor was also the beloved brother of Judit Kenyeres and Lazslo Barna, brother-in-law of Sharona Levitan and Laura Alper, uncle of Miriam Barna, grandfather of Zak, Vincent, Leo, Milo and Theo, and great uncle to Sylvie.

To allow for physical distancing, a graveside funeral was held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 11:30 am at the Beth Israel Cemetery (1721 Willingdon Ave, Burnaby, BC).

The family welcomes friends, loved ones and members of the community to join them for the service.
