This Giving Tuesday – Help Find Solutions for Our Earth, Our Future

Join the movement this Giving Tuesday. Your generosity can impact Tel Aviv University students, researchers, and faculty searching for solutions to today’s global environmental issues.

This Giving Tuesday, lead the way to help create a greener more sustainable tomorrow.

Climate change is the biggest global challenge facing humanity today.

Wildfires, flooding, droughts and other events driven by extreme climate conditions are taking an unprecedented toll on many countries, including Canada.

To date, global warming is at its highest levels. The earth’s temperature is 1.1ºC warmer than the 1800’s – and it is rising. According to the UN Environment Program, 1.6 billion people may be facing average summer temperature highs of 35C by 2050, with potential financial losses surpassing $2 trillion by 2030.

Against this worrying backdrop, Tel Aviv University recently launched a first of its kind multidisciplinary Center for Climate Change Action, with the aim of finding solutions to the global crisis.

The Center serves as a comprehensive, multidisciplinary think tank, bringing together dozens of researchers across all nine faculties on campus with private, industry, and government partners to find novel solutions to adapt to climate change and lessen its damaging effects. It also serves as a space to disseminate knowledge, develop technologies, and train new generations of global environmental change-makers.

On November 30, Giving Tuesday, support our researchers who are focussed on finding solutions for a brighter and more sustainable future. You can make the difference for a greener tomorrow!
