Sad News – Sidney Alperstein z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Beth Israel member Sidney Alperstein (92). beloved father to Miles (Michele), Kevin (Sandy), and Loren (Matty). Proud, patient and devoted grandfather, uncle, great uncle, and friend to many.

Sidney passed peacefully in his sleep on January 30, 2024 (20 Shevat 5784). Predeceased by the love of his life, Estelle (Aisler), and survived by his loving partner, Rochelle (Moss). Sidney was the son of the late Eva (Bilchik) and Isaac, and brother Ruben and he is survived by his brother, Meyer. Sidney was loved by all who knew him and will be very deeply missed.

The funeral will be held at the Schara Tzedeck Cemetery at 10:30 am Thursday (January 31st). The address is 2345 Marine Drive New Westminster.

Shiva will be on Thursday (Jan 31) and Sunday (Feb 4) at 7:30 pm in Vancouver.
