It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Sam Berger Z”L, father of Rabbi Stephen Berger.

 

We wish comfort to the entire family, Sam’s children, Rabbi Stephen (Sarah) Berger, Jeffrey Berger and his late daughter Laura Berger Z”L.

Additionally, we wish comfort to grandchildren Baruch Nissim (Esti), Riva (Shimshon), Yosef (Chayala), Chasya (Zevi), Yisroel, and great-grandson

Yehudah Aryeh.

 

The Funeral will be held on Tuesday January 27 at 2pm at Schara Tzedeck Cemetery in New Westminster (2345 Marine Dr, New Westminster, BC V3M 2V1)

 

Shiva services will take place at the Berger home in Vancouver

Tuesday evening January 27, 2026 – Monday morning February 2, 2026

Shacharit: 7 am

Mincha/ Maariv: 4:45 pm.
