Sad News – Rose Afriat z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the death of Rose Afriat (neé Elster) z”l, sister of Temple Sholom member Mark Elster (Bonnie).

Rose passed away in Montreal on Thursday, August 17, 2023, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Rose is predeceased by her parents, Isaac Elster z”l and Rachel Elster z”l, and her sister, Marilyn Zaritsky z”l (Jackie z”l).

We send our heartfelt condolences to her beloved husband of over fifty years, David Afriat; her children, Esther (John) and Jen (Brad);

siblings, Mark Elster (Bonnie) and Simon Elster; grandchildren, Madison, Emily and Brody.

The funeral was held in Montreal on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
