It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Richard Gilsig z”l, on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

 

We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Ruth Lipton, his sister, Marcie Gilsig, his son, Samuel Gilsig (Erika) his daughter, Carly Gilsig, his step-daughters Heather Muir, Kathleen Cashin (Ryan), and Ashley Winter (Iain), nephews Josh Spatz (Samantha) and Avram Spatz (Georgia), grandson, Rowan, and to all his family and friends.

 

The funeral and interment will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 10:30 am at the Temple Sholom Cemetery (14965 – 28th Ave., White Rock/South Surrey, BC).

Immediately following the graveside service, mourners are invited to gather at the home of Abbe and Simon Chivers in Delta, BC.

 

Mourners are invited for shiva minyanim at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31 and 6:30 pm on Thursday, January 1 at Temple Sholom.
