Sad News – Myrna Gotfrit z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Myrna Gotfrit (nee Goodman) z”l, stepmother of Or Shalom member Martin Gotfrit, on November 5, 2021, in Montreal at the age of 82. 

Myrna is survived by Martin’s father, Phil Gotfrit, to whom she was married for 38 years. Martin is joined in his grief by his wife Patricia Gruben and their sons Jesse and Noah Gotfrit.

She is also mourned by her children, Toby and Jesse Blauer of San Diego, Sindi Blauer of New York, Sue Ann and Bryan Belmont of Boulder and by Martin’s sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and Paul Bauman of Calgary.

Myrna was the doting grandmother of Nicky, Madison, and Olivia Blauer, Seth Mayer and Nicki Rose, Maya Bogadi,Cora Birdwell, Claire and Rei Belmont, and the Gotfrit twins. 

The Gotfrits are now in Montreal where the funeral was held, staying on for Shivawith the family.
