It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Temple Sholom member Miriam Friedberg z”l on May 1, 2025.
Miriam was an artist and filled her life with art– painting and music, art of all kinds. She loved people and if she ever began to help someone, her kindness would be without bounds. Her dream was to run a Jewish store in North America and Vancouver was fortunate to be the chosen destination. First in Bridgeport, than Kerrisdale and later inside of Temple Sholom.
We send our heartfelt condolences to her children, Shuli Ben Moshe (Avi) and Efi Friedman (Liat), grandchildren, Inbar, Yuval, Zia, and Noam, and to her entire family and friends.
A funeral service will be held tomorrow, Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Temple Sholom Cemetery (14965 28 Ave, Surrey, BC).
Shiva will be held Sunday through Wednesday, May 4th – 7th, from 11:00 am, with minyan at 7:00 pm each day at home of Shuli & Avi.
Donations can be made to the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre (VHEC) at: https://www.vhec.org/donate/
May Her Memory Be For a Blessing.
