It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jacob Chanow z”l, grandfather of Cantor Shani Cohen, on February 27, 2025 in Stockholm, Sweden. Jakob was predeceased by his wife, Jetta Chanow z”l.

 

We send our heartfelt condolences to his children, Mirjam Cohen (Michael), Daniel Chanow, and Michael Chanow, grandchildren, Cantor Shani Cohen (Kylynn) and Shirli Cohen (Ryan),

and to his entire family and friends.

 

The funeral and shiva will take place in Sweden.
