Sad News – David Usher z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Or Shalom member, David Usher z’l, on February 8
at the age of 86.

David graduated from McGill with a PhD in Biochemistry and received his medical degree from the University of Ottawa. He served as a physician on Hornby Island for 20 years before moving to Vancouver upon retirement.
Most recently, David resided at the Louie Brier Home.
David Usher is mourned by his three sons Bruce (Naomi), Eric (Cecilia Wramsten) and Joshua (Rachel Kelly) Usher, by his six grandchildren, Ben, Theo, Ella, Tyra, Max, and by his former partner Sharon Lazare.

Or Shalom Synagogue will recite an El Male Rachamim (a memorial prayer) and a final Kaddish Yatom for David,
this coming Shabbat morning, February 15 at 10:00am.
