On Sunday, August 23, 2020, 42 cyclists toured Richmond to raise money for Richmond Jewish Day School (RJDS), ORT Vancouver and STEM. The children of today will be tomorrow’s leaders and we need to support their journey through STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Math.
This was the first Vancouver Jewish organizations to hold this event.
Within the bounds of social distancing, small groups gathered and followed a route around Dyke Rd, Steveston and River Rd. Our team, Wheels to Heal, gathered 12 of us for a beautiful leisurely Sunday morning cycle.Wheels to Heal is a group of MAJILS (middle-age Jews in Lycra) who get together for social rides. We have ridden the Ride To Conquer Cancer previously. When we heard about this fantastic venture to raise money and awareness involving a worthwhile Jewish education cause, we jumped at the opportunity.
Thank you to all the sponsors, organizers and the volunteers who put together such a fantastic event!See you all next year!
