‘A Night in the Catskills: Jewish Humour Then and Now’
Sunday March 17th, 6 p.m. at Schara Tzedeck Synagogue.
While some might question whether it’s appropriate to hold a gala at this difficult time, throughout the centuries Jews have used humour to deal with adversity. Today is no different.
You may recall JSA organized a similar Comedy Night 13 years ago. We are thrilled to tell you that our Board Director Michael Geller will once again be our charming MC!
The evening will feature video clips of famous Borsht Belt comics along with clips of contemporary Jewish comedians. Local rabbis have been invited to share some favourite jokes they would never tell in shul.
