It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Temple Sholom member David Barnett z”l.

 

We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Sara Ferguson; their children, Asher, Cassidy, and Zoe Barnett; his parents, Shirley Barnett and Peter Barnett; his brother and sister-in-law, Jonathan Barnett and Heidi Seidman, and their children, Tanner, Madison, and Hannah; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Gean Ferguson; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Todd and Jennifer Ferguson, and their children, Kaelyn, Braeya, and Makena; Russ Ferguson and Rohan Matts, and their daughter, Elowyn; Nick Ferguson; and his entire family and friends.

 

The funeral will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm PST at Temple Sholom Synagogue (7190 Oak St, Vancouver, BC), followed by interment at the Temple Sholom Cemetery (14965 – 28th Ave., White Rock/South Surrey, BC).

 

Shiva will be held on Sunday, February 8 at 7:00 pm at David & Sara’s home in Vancouver. Further dates to follow.
