It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Shmuel Wachtel z”l, father of Beth Israel member Shlomi Wachtel (Dina).

Shmuel was predeceased by his wife, Sarah Wachtel z”l.

We send our sincere condolences to his children, Shlomi (Dina), Yaacov (Sylvie) and Hagar; his grandchildren, Amir, Shira, Ayelet, Shahar, Adi and Gili; great grandchildren, Lee, Tomer, Itay, Bar, Neale, Belle and Ari, and his entire family and friends.

The funeral will take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026 in Kfar Saba, Israel.

Shiva will also be held in Israel.
