Tefillin and Mezuza Checking
As a service to the Jewish Community of Greater Vancouver, the Orthodox Rabbinical Council has arranged to bring in a Sofer to check Tefillin and Mezuza’s. He will be available for checking Monday July 17th – Wednesday July 19th. The price of checking will be $100 per Tefillin set and $10 per Mezuza.
For those requiring their Mezuza’s checked, we ask that you remove them from their cases to make it easier for the Sofer. The checking will take place on Monday 17th at our office (401-1037 West Broadway, Vancouver). Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th at Schara Tzedeck. Please bring payment with your Tefillin/ Mezuza’s. Cheques can be made out to the Orthodox Rabbinical Council. Should your Tefillin or Mezuza’s be beyond repair, you will only be asked to make a donation to cover the Sofer’s time.
