It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Shirley Stern z”l (Zlata Ruchel bat Abraham v’ Faige), mother of Beth Hamidrash member Marc Stern, on Monday, May 5th in Florida.

 

We send our sincere condolences to her children, Marc Stern (Eva), Gail Jacobs (Jeffrey) and Seth Stern (Laurie), her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and to her entire family and friends.

 

The funeral will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2025 in New York.

 

There will be no home Shiva visits in Vancouver. Marc will be attending Beth Hamidrash for Shacharit services (Monday – Friday at 6:45 AM, Shabbat at 9:00 AM, Sunday at 8:30 AM) and Schara Tzedeck for Mincha/Maariv services following the funeral.
