Sad News – Paul Deyong z’l
It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Temple Sholom member Paul Deyong z’l on December 19, 2020, at the age of 85.
We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife of 34 years, Carol Deyong, children, Leah Tuttle (John), Jordan Deyong, Lacey Togyi (Mike), Mollie Deyong (Lachlan Caunt), grandson, Noah Togyi, brothers-in-law, Barry Sanders (Margot Fluker) and Ken Sanders, and Paul’s entire extended family and friends.
The funeral was held today, Monday December 21, 2020, at 1:00 pm at the Temple Sholom Cemetery. Attendance was limited in accordance with COVID Health Protocols. The service will be live streamed on the Temple Sholom website: www.templesholom.ca/video.

I would like to leave condolences to Paul Deyong’s family on the very sad news of his passing. I would also like to ask if a family member would contact me with some details of Puul’s life and working career and possibly a photo or two of him. Paul was on staff with CBC Vancouver for some years in the 1960s and when I joined CBC in 1966, I was Secretary to TV Production Manager Bill Inglis and to Paul as well as several other managers. I am retired from CBC and Secretary of the CBC/SRC Association (formerly the CBC 20 Year Association) and one of the things I do is let our CBC colleagues past and present, know when one of our “family” has passed away. This is the reason for my request. I’m not limited in space to send the e-mail to CBC colleagues so the text can be any length and I can include any number of photos the family would like included.
