Sad News – Barbara Shumiatcher z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Temple Sholom member, Barbara Shumiatcher z”l today, December 18, 2021.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Judah Shumiatcher z”l.

We send our heartfelt condolences to her sons, Cal (Ellen) Shumiatcher and Michael Shumiatcher;  grandchildren, Roxanne Legoff, Nina (Ernie Klein), Rose (Nick Heras), & Eva Shumiatcher and her “Pseudo-sister” Shirley Fineblit.

The family also wishes to acknowledge with gratitude the incredible care provided for Barbara by her caregivers: Sol Esperanza Gawat and Faye
A graveside funeral will be held tomorrow, Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Temple Sholom Cemetery (14965 – 28th Ave., White Rock, BC), officiated by Rabbi Dan Moskovitz.
