Sad News – Annette Rosalie (Scharfstein) z’l

With deep sadness, we inform you of the passing of Annette Rosalie (Scharfstein) z”l, mother of Temple Sholom member David Albert, on December 10, 2022, at the age of 83.

Annette was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sam Albert z”l.

She is survived by her children, David (Jennifer Tater), Michelle (Howard Burke), Sharon (Mark Stein), and Ilana (Mitchell Novick); her grandchildren Melody, Louis (Jessica) and Sam Burke, Isaiah and Elijah Albert-Stein, Justine, Julia and Sam Albert, and Daniel, Benjamin, Matthew and Sarah Novick; her sisters Beverley Gorenstein and Deborah Avren; her brother Brian Scharfstein; her special friend Lewis Perelmutter, and a multitude of close relatives and friends.

The funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 9:30 am EST at the Jewish Memorial Chapel in Ottawa, Ontario. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by clicking on this link. Interment will follow at Jewish Memorial Gardens.

The family will be observing Shiva on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Ottawa.
