Sad News – Alex Buckman z’l

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the death of Alex Buckman on April 21, 2023. Alex z”l was a dedicated Holocaust educator and was participating with the March of the Living delegation in Poland at the time of his death.

We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Colette, son Patrick (Elsi), grandchildren Alexander, Jameson, and Rachael, and sister, Annie Kidorf.

The funeral service will take place this Sunday, May 7 at 1:00 pm at Temple Sholom Cemetery (14965 – 28th Ave., White Rock/South Surrey, BC). The funeral will also be broadcast via livestream and can also be watched at a later time at the same link below:

Following the funeral service, the family will gather at the Victory Memorial Centre (14831 – 29th Ave, White Rock/South Surrey, BC), and all attendees are invited to join for a meal of condolence. The centre is a short walk from the Temple Sholom cemetery and parking is available for those who choose to drive.
