As part of ‘Our Earth, Our Future’ campaign, we are proudto spotlight TAU’s students, faculty and projects tackling
global environmental issues.
A new exhibition at Tel Aviv University shows the important role TAU plays in educating a wider audience about the climate crisis, its impact and ways to mitigate its harmful effects. A year in the making, the exhibition – “Global Warning: The Climate, the Crisis and Us” – reflects TAU’s commitment to seeking solutions in the ecological realm and engaging those outside the academic community for the greater good of humanity.
Judi Lax, a Ph.D student at the university’s Porter School of Environmental Studies, is the Scientific Curator of the exhibit now on view at TAU’s Steinhardt Museum of Natural History. It presents visitors with the latest scientific findings on climate change and walks them though interactive stations that highlight core issues and fundamental concepts. It also spotlights how each of us can counteract the changes contributing to the crisis and reduce the harm caused to us and the environment.
“I feel blessed to be a student at Tel Aviv University. It is a privilege to work with two outstanding professors, Prof. Colin Price and Prof. Hadas Saaroni, who focus on scientific work and on reaching out to raise public awareness of the importance of the climate crisis and support me as I do so. We face an enormous challenge, and the way we act today will determine which future our children and we will face. I have faith in human nature and believe we can change. I do not doubt that together we can solve this crisis.”
