two major themes:

• Counselling and Navigation Support: providing direct support (counselling, navigation support, support groups) to individuals and their loved ones who are struggling with a substance use disorder; and

We’re looking for a dynamic individual who can take the Community Programming piece to new levels.

– Jewish schools, camps and youth programs
– Federation
– Attend community events as a representative of JACS

B. Community Education

– Develop/produce community wide educational events
– Develop/deliver programming to captive audience groups (e.g. Hadassah, schools, congregations)
– Identify and execute on opportunities to develop co-sponsored events with other organizations in the community
– Maintain relationships with parallel agencies in other communities (e.g. Beit T’shuvah, other JACS chapters) to collaborate on programming ideas, curricula, et al

C. Marketing & Awareness

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be a self-starter who can take broad direction from the Board of Directors but then fly on their own, and above all else have a passion for ‘tikkun olam’ – making a difference in our community. Lived experience with a substance use disorder would be an asset but not a requirement.
