5-YL mtg 2014 tnNavigating the Links

When I decided to work with my husband Yossi, many of my family and friends cautioned me on this rugged terrain. I knew that I would need a four wheel drive to endure and persevere. I also knew that team building was one of my strengths and that I would work earnestly on building a team that could navigate Yossilinks.com to the next level.  Creating 94-YL mtg 2014 smallnew pathways of doing things differently requires lots of toil.  After developing and paving the way to create my own coaching business with a team in 2013, I knew lots about clarifying, bottom lining and championing what is needed to execute a business that serves its’  mission. Every business needs a solid business plan that is based on information that validates the direction of the market research.  So in September, 2014 we hired Joe Markovitch to help plan and run a focus group.  We wanted to find out what the people liked and did not like about the weekly Yossilinks e-newsletters.  We were eager to explore how we could make it better.  The group of 22 people ranging in ages 29-69 provided us with lots of constructive feedback.  We heard that Yossilinks is ‘THE PLACE’ where people check out Jewish/ community events and get linked to services.  We also heard that Yossilinks is regarded as an aggregator of information, connecting newcomers and encouraging Jewish and Israeli community participation and contribution.

With this kind of information we began our holistic approach to expansion.  Of course we needed to hire more manpower. We needed a team of people who understood our vision and could offer their talents and skill sets. So, around our dining room table, 6 of us gathered and started to develop a viable business model while creating a sustainable operation. ‘Keeping us Connected’ has become our catch phrase both internally and externally.

Yossilinks Media Incorporated was established in December 2014.  With our vision of serving community, it is transforming into a professional business venture.  As I know, from my many years of volunteering and working in Jewish communal service, never losing sight of the mission, the bigger picture and the values, navigates the integrity of the business model.

Our Business Coach Leader Joe Markovitch continues to remind us that cultivating healthy relationships with ourselves and with others requires us to have a balance of work and play.  Joe’s company motto is: Co-creating holistic solutions for a successful life in business. (www.joeco.ca)

It is our business at Yossilinks.com to successfully promote and link you to many of life’s offerings in Vancouver’s Jewish community and beyond……

Yours in holistic linkage,

Debbie Havusha
