This special spring edition of the Chutzpah! Festival highlights international and local artists through a multicultural Jewish lens. Featuring music, theatre, comedy, dance, and family entertainment, the festival offers audiences a dynamic mix of performances.

In addition, there will be workshops, stimulating conversations, and opportunities to interact with creative artists. 

Iris Bahr (USA/Israel), an award-winning performer, presents Stories From the Brink, a comedic and poignant journey through her near-death experiences. Stand-up comedian Talia Reese (USA) shares her sharp and hilarious take on Jewish life and motherhood. Yamma Ensemble (Israel) brings Middle Eastern and Jewish music with rare instruments for both an intergenerational matinee and evening performance, while City Birds (USA/Israel) offers a family-friendly concert blending Americana with messages of inclusivity and joy.

The dance double-bill Universus at the Vancouver Playhouse, features new works by Belle Spirale Dance Projects and choreographer Fernando Hernando Magadan (Canada/Spain), exploring themes of connection and resilience.

Chutzpah! is proud to be the Creation and Presenting Partner for resident artists Belle Spirale Dance Projects. Universus is presented in partnership with VIDF (Vancouver International Dance Festival) and New Works Dance.

$40 (adults) (+ gst/sc).

Youth tickets for family events are $18.
